DAVID G. MEANY

David Meany was born in 1950
in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of a prominent plastic
surgeon. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts
Degree in History, he traveled extensively in
the United States, Europe and Africa. Mr. Meany
moved to Reno, Nevada in 1976, where he worked
until attending law school at Case Western Reserve
University. After graduating
in 1986, Mr. Meany began his law practice in the areas of insurance
defense and civil practice. He joined the Law
Offices of Geoffrey White as an associate in 1991
and became a partner in 1995, when he
and Mr. White formed the Law Offices of White
& Meany.
Mr. Meany has practiced before numerous Nevada
State Courts and the Nevada Supreme Court, which
recognized him with the Outstanding Appellant
Brief award in 1990. His major areas of focus
are medical malpractice and product liability,
in which he has achieved or assisted in several
multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts.
Mr. Meany is a fomer member of the
Nevada Medical-Dental Screening Panel in which
he joined with physicians and other attorneys
in reviewing medical malpractice cases. The Nevada Legislature
recently changed the law and eliminated the
Panel of doctors and lawyers. Mr. Meany
is also a member of the American Association For Justice and a Sustaining Member of the Nevada
Trial Lawyers Association.
